About Me

Designer, Coder, Learner

Hello! I'm Yiling, a curious UX Designer / Data Analyst who is always looking for ways to use technology to benefit society. My multidisciplinary experience in Information Technology and Business has given me programming skills as well as a thorough understanding of company goals. During my time at the University of Texas at Austin's School of Information, I kept improving my ability to understand people's pain points and used design thinking to create solutions that meet their needs.

I am passionate about sustainability. I volunteered to help a grassroots Indian NGO build a content management system so they could share their movements for equity. I also worked for a traditional Taiwanese soy sauce business, where I managed eco-friendly product development and established brewing process management systems, resulting in local farmers doubling the size of their environmentally friendly plantations. Believing in the genuine care for human in UX, I redesigned and coded the website for an NGO clinic, Lifelong Medical Care to improve its accessibility and usability for low-income communities. Our responsive and inclusive website won the first place of Knowbility Accessibility Design Competition.

In my free time, hiking, traveling, meditation, and playing piano are my favorite hobbies.
